To celebrate the fifth anniversary of our annual ALPIN workshop, it will return to Dresden this September. Please save the date and come to Dresden on September 17th and 18th. We are organizing a two-day workshop consisting of four sessions, each featuring an invited lecture and several short presentations on selected posters. In addition, each participant will have the opportunity to present their current research project or dissertation topic via a poster.
Date: September 17th and 18th 2026
Place: Leibniz IFW, Dresden, Germany
Local organizing team:
Anjana Devi, Harish Parala, Kornelius Nielsch, Amin Bahrami, Sebastian Lehmann (Leibniz IFW) and Martin Knaut (TU Dresden)
Registration:
Please register for free using the form below. Please indicate whether you’ll be bringing a poster and would like to present it during a pitch talk. There will also be a sponsored evening event on the first day, which you can sign up for on the registration form. We’re going to take a boat tour on the Elbe, and there will be food and drinks. On Saturday (19.08.2026), anyone interested is welcome to join a hike in Saxon Switzerland (train ride from Dresden to Rathen and a hike through the Schwedenlöcher to the Bastei and back), for which you can also sign up.
Please note that the number of participants is limited to 150.
